What's On Wellbeing Hub Wellbeing Hub Our Wellbeing Hub opened in 2021 to take care of the wellbeing of people in need living in our local area. The Hub is where our food distribution service is based, providing top-ups of food and other essentials for local people who have been struggling through the pandemic. There are other wide-ranging services providing holistic support including our regular Mindful Mondays class, Mindful Movement, weekly information and advice sessions covering anything from benefits to emotional support, help managing family finances and more. We also provide signposting advice and assistance to approach other local organisations, enabling people to access the help they need. This includes access to grants offered by St Luke's and Worrall and Fuller. A recent initiative at the Hub is our Poetry of the Mind sessions in conjunction with Poet Steve Tasane, Islington's Direct Action Project (DAP) from The Peel Centre. The group come up with poems, with the latest one written below. The group aims to bust stigma and share facts about wellbeing by opening up conversations about mental health. Poetry of the Mind is a series of fun and interactive workshops to raise mental health awareness, combat stress and anxiety for families with children. With poetry and conversations about mental health break down stereotypes, bust stigma and share facts. In partnership with The Peel Centre - Minds Matter and Poet Steve Tasane will help you to start writing poetry and talking about mental health. Join our regular Poetry of the Mind sessions in our Wellbeing Hub on Central Street to discuss supporting children with feeling their emotions and taking care of their mental health and your own positive mental health.
