Calum's Firm Futures story Calum heard about the Firm Futures programme from Centa Business Services based in King's Cross and joined the programme in 2019. At that point he was based in King's Cross and was working under the title Kings Cross Interiors however due to the pandemic Calum had to relocate to a more affordable area. He is now based in Finchley and has changed the name to McClintock Antiques. “It makes a big difference being part of the Firm Futures programme as it offers so many great resources that I would not have encountered on my own. It's also a great bunch of people who are very positive which is very motivating. Since being part of the Firm Futures programme, I have been able to run a business through a worldwide pandemic, it almost came to an end when I had to relocate to Finchley. At that time I was very close to closing the business down, however after rebranding and sticking with the core principle of not spending beyond my means, I've been able to expand and now am in the process of training somebody who helps me with the restoration and have been able to increase the size of my storage by obtaining two new locations to store my stock. The Firm Futures programme is really great at introducing entrepreneurs to the fundamentals of business and also offering the tools and resources that business's need to grow.” Calum has been very impressed with the quality of the course and the people running Firm Futures and is very grateful for the work that everyone has put in. He believes it has been instrumental in getting his business to where it is now and really helpful meeting other people starting businesses of their own.
