Title: Volunteer to Assist with Caring for Chickens

Our chickens need daily love and attention with responsibilities including changing bedding, topping up water and food containers and collecting the eggs. All training will be provided.

The rota is updated every month and volunteers are asked to sign up for dates that work for them. This can be as often as you like with a minimum of 2 a month.

We ask you to join our chickens WhatsApp group to be kept up to date with news.

Responsible to: Facilities Team

Time commitment: Contribute to a team when needed and fits in with Volunteer’s availability  

Purpose

  • Working together with and following guidance from facilities team to provide general help caring for three chickens

Outline of duties:

  • To assist with the care for three chickens, feed them, replace their fresh food and water, clean their living area  

Skills and experience:

  • No experience needed, training will be provided
  • Genuine care and love for chickens is important
