In the five years since it opened, Central Street Cookery School has had a huge impact on the local community. The aim is to teach locals about healthy home cooking through our regular classes and projects, showing the value for health and money in cooking fresh food at home. Through doing this we also teach people how to avoid food waste, another issue close to our hearts. The majority of food used in our community cookery classes is donated and would otherwise go to waste. People who attend our classes can pick up tips and advice and use this in their homes.

In the past five years we have:

Organised 800 cookery classes helping 19,000 individuals.

We have run four funded projects assisting locals with cooking, lifestyle support and advice (thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, All Saints Education Trust, Hubbub and Islington Council)

We have established on average 11 partnerships with other organisations every year.

We welcome offers for cookery-related projects. Please contact us for a chat on 020 7549 8176.
